Support Better Science by Helping Us Create It

Dear Citizen Scientists,

Science shapes the technology we use every day and the medical care that keeps us healthy. Too often, though, the people doing the research are not the people explaining it, and that gap gets filled by headlines, hype and misinformation.

Better Science exists to close that gap. We are a small team of scientists who believe research should be explained clearly and honestly, with its limits in plain view.

We are not asking for money. The most valuable support you can give us is your expertise, your perspective and your time.

If our mission resonates with you, the best way to support it is to create with us. Write an article about your field, help us check the evidence behind a piece, or sit down with us for a recorded conversation about your research.

Contributions are credited to their authors, and every piece goes through the same careful sourcing we apply to our own work.

Ways to get involved

Write with us. Contribute an article, a commentary on new research, or an explainer on a topic you know well. We will help with editing and sourcing.

Be heard on video. Rather talk than write? We can set up a video conversation or videocast about your work and publish it here.

Review and advise. Help us check that our articles represent the evidence fairly, or suggest topics we should be covering.

Science Explained by the People Who Do It

We are committed to cutting through the misinformation and sensationalism that often surround science. The best remedy we know is scientists and informed readers explaining what the evidence shows, what it does not show, and why the difference matters.

Whether you are a researcher, a clinician, an educator, a student or simply curious, there is room for your voice here. Tell us what you would like to contribute and we will take it from there.
